Movie Actor Peter Lawford was born on September 7, 1923. He was 61 when he died on December 24, 1984 due to cardiac arrest. He had been suffering from substance abuse. He was buried in Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
The son of General Sir Sydney Turing Barlow Lawford and May Somerville Aylen, Lawford began acting at a young age in England. He moved to America just before World War II in order to become a movie star. He was able to avoid military service because of an arm injury suffered as a child. He soon became part of Frank Sinatra’s Rat Pack and the brother-in-law of John and Robert Kennedy.
